Q: Who are you and what are your objectives?
A: We are group of like-minded individuals in Calgary, Alberta with roots from the Indian subcontinent. We are solely committed to promoting performing arts and having a lot of fun in the process.
Q: What are your plans?
A: We are very focused on our objectives and hope to,
- Put up regular professional quality productions complete in all aspects including, costumes, music, light, sound, make-up and stage design.
- Increase awareness of cultural issues in the field of performing arts among members and the community at large.
- Set up a feedback loop to assimilate constructive suggestions into future activities.
Q: Who can join Anubhav?
A: Any individual with a keen interest in performing arts and who is willing to make a commitment of time for the group workshops can join Anubhav. Ours is a group activity and it is essential that all members in a production make similar commitments so as not to inconvenience others. Together we can have a whale of a time.
Q: Do you provide formal training?
A: We learn through regular group practice incorporating constructive feedback. However considerable self assessment and analyses are essential.
Q: Is there a membership fee?
A: No. Members share day-to day operating costs. We hope to recover the production costs from ticket sales, advertisements and personal donations.
Q: How does the organization work?
A: We are an open, informal and unstructured organization. All members volunteer for the various responsibilities.
Q: Is Anubhav a registered society?
A: Yes, We are a registered society under the Registrar of Corporations, Province of Alberta, Canada.
